Marmaris holidays are great treat with all inclusive hotels and beaches but there are more to do in Marmaris Turkey!
Marmaris Castle Museum
The Marmaris Castle is believed to be more than 3000 years old, and even during the days of Alexander the Great, it was already old. It is a must-visit when in Marmaris. It is one of those wonderful castles that actually house a museum.
The castle sits on a hill behind the marina. Visit the castle to get a sense of the history of the region. There are two areas dedicated to archaeological artefacts and one to ethnography. The Marmaris castle and museum is an excellent place for a half-day trip with the family. The panoramic views of the town from the castle look great during daytime and even better after dusk.
Coins, ornaments, carpets, furniture, weapons, metalwork, and much more are on view.
Marmaris Castle Opening Hours
